Fifty Shades Freed, the latest film from the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, is released in UK cinemas today.

The ever-anticipated release coincides with Valentine’s Day next Wednesday.

The film is the third and final erotic instalment to come from British novelist, E.L James, whose books have sold millions of copies worldwide.
It follows Fifty Shades of Grey, which was released in 2015, and Fifty Shades Darker in 2017.

The film, which had a £39million ($55m) budget, follows Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as they reprise their roles as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey for the final time as the characters settle into married life.
Having already hit US cinema’s on the 6th of Feb, US critics have been quick to bash the film.

The Hollywood Reporter branded the BDSM-themed trilogy as “one of the worst film franchises in recent memory” while CNN described to the film’s release as a “merciful end to a tedious trilogy”.

Fifty Shades bosses have kept the UK press away from the film up until the last minute, apparently in a bid to delay negative reviews.
Fifty Shades Freed can be viewed in UK cinemas from today.
