Three ex-police officers have been found guilty of participating in the murder of George Floyd
Mr. Floyd was filmed being kneeled on his neck by Derek Chauvin for more than nine minutes. This resulted in Mr. Chauvin being charged with the murder of George Floyd last April. Other ex-police officers were present at the scene.
According to the BBC, Tou Thao, J Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane were seen in a video assisting Chauvin and helping him to hold George Floyd down. None of the ex-police officers responded to medical needs that George Floyd required at the time.
The three men were found guilty and Chauvin was found guilty of murder last year, and is currently serving a 22-and-a-half-year sentence. In June, Tou Thao, J Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane will be in the state court to face counts regarding assisting Derek Chauvin’s actions taken upon George Floyd.
