Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has trained with Claude Puel’s side for the first time since his planned move to Manchester City collapsed.
The Algeria international, 26, stopped training with the Foxes after his proposed transfer to the Premier League leaders fell through.
Leicester rejected City’s reported £95 million bid for Mahrez on transfer deadline day.
But he has now returned to training and could face Pep Guardiola’s team tomorrow.
The 2016 PFA Player of the Year had issued a transfer request the day before the January window closed – but Puel refused to let him leave.
Leicester said their valuation of the winger, who joined the Foxes in 2014 from French side Le Havre, exceeded the fee Manchester City were prepared to pay.
During his pre-match conference on Thursday, Puel said: “I hope he can get his head right and come back with us and work hard. The best way is to come back and enjoy his football.”
This season Mahrez has scored eight league goals and contributed seven assists.
Leicester have not won a Premier League game during his absence.
In total, he has scored 44 goals in 165 games at Leicester and was a key figure in their title-winning 2015/16 season.
