The UK Met Office has issued an Amber warning for severe weather ahead of Storm Chandra’s arrival on Tuesday, according to PA.
Two recent major storms, Goretti and Ingrid, caused significant damage and disruptions.
Now, Chandra will bring serious hazards, heavy and persistent rain and gales in the exposed areas.
Northern Ireland has been issued an amber wind warning, with eastern regions facing wind gusts of up to 75mph (120km/h) from 05:00 on Tuesday until 21:00.
Large coastal waves are expected, which might overwhelm protection walls and promenades.
South-west England and Wales are also affected by the amber warning from 17:00 Monday until 09:00 Tuesday. 30-50mm rainfall is likely widely in the Dartmoor with 60-80mm of rain across higher grounds and wind peaks up to 56mph (90km/h).
Northern Ireland warning is valid from Tuesday at 2:00 until 21:00 for damaging winds, gusts in exposed parts up to 70mph(113km/h) accompanied by 40 to 50mm of rainfall.
