Sadie Frost has stated that there was a “price on my head” for articles about her in the Daily Mail, as she gave evidence in the trial of her High Court claim against the paper’s publisher.

English Actress, Sadie Frost, is one of seven high-profile litigants, including the Duke of Sussex, Sir Elton John, Baroness Doreen Lawrence and Liz Hurley, suing Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over allegations of unlawful information gathering.

Her individual claims contains 11 articles about her and particularly her divorce with fellow British actor, Jude Law.

Ms frost accused the Daily Mail of voicemail hacking and blagging private records. She exclaimed that the British tabloid “hacked from my voicemails, and I know that 100 per cent”.

Her claim also concerns two “episodes” of unlawful information gathering and, though unpublished, included one in relation to her ectopic pregnancy.

On Monday, Ms Frost appeared in High Court where she reportedly became emotional as she spoke about the personal effects of the press intrusion.

“The stories they wrote violated me, my friends and family, and my children who were still so small, and they made me believe that I could not trust anyone”, She proclaimed.

She went on to say, “I am so angry that Associated did this to me and thought it was okay to profit from someone going through so much pain without a thought for me or my children and the suffering they were causing me and us all”.

She also believed that ANL “must be held accountable”.

In response to the allegations, ANL strongly denies wrongdoing and is defending the claims.

Several other prominent figures have stood alongside Sadie Frost in the battle against the British press, alleging that Associated Newspapers Ltd. unlawfully invaded their privacy; The Duke of Sussex, Actor Liz Hurley alongside her son Damian Hurley, Baroness Doreen Lawrence (the mother of Stephen Lawrence), Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish and Former Liberal Democrat politician Sir Simon Hughes.
