Samantha Cameron has swapped Downing Street for Fashion Week with the launch of her new clothing line. The wife of former prime minister David Cameron, has started fashion range Cefinn for “practical, modern women”.

Cameron is an ambassador for the British Fashion Council and has been learning how to “pattern-cut and sew” over the past few years. Speaking to the Sunday Times Style Magazine in 2010, she revealed that she had been giving the label serious thought.

Cefinn is thought to be made up from the first and last letters of her surname, along with the initials of Samantha and David Cameron’s children in between.

The range is said to “encapsulate an elegant, easy sense of style with a real focus on functionality and quality”.

T-shirts are available for £110.
