From the 15th of February, travellers returning to the UK from countries with high rates of Covid-19 will have to quarantine in hotels.

The new rules affect travellers returning from red-list countries including Dubai, South Africa and Brazil. They must quarantine in government-approved hotels for 10 days at a cost of £1,750. The government has announced a 10 thousand pound fine for anyone who fails to do this. It has also been announced that any passenger who doesn’t have a UK residency may be refused entry.
