The Spice Girls have announced that they are scraping a planned reunion tour. Fans hoping for the groups reconciliation are left heartbroken.
The 13-date UK tour was announced in 2019, but concerts became delayed due to the coronavirus crisis. An insider source told The Sun: “It was going brilliant – but Covid killed the momentum”.
The tour was set to feature four original members: Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown. Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, omitted to join.
According to said source, remaining group members are focusing on personal projects. They have no plans to reschedule the tour despite the alleged £80 million made through ticket sales.
Fans have been both supportive and upset by the announcement, many coming to Twitter to share their opinions.
